7 ARROWS :Matthew 26:1-16

Jesus knows what is coming but pauses to be honored and anointed.

The focus of verses 6-16 is on the disciples not understanding the significance of what was happening.

Jesus is deity so he accepts worship.

As the pressure mounts Judas is dissatisfied with Jesus.

Be satisfied with Jesus and don’t miss an opportunity to honor him.

Were the other 11 disciples having second thoughts about Jesus? Probably. Enemies were closing in. Jesus was speaking of his death. This is not the way they pictured the Messiah. It wasn’t until after the resurrection that the bigger picture becomes clear. In this passage they are scared and troubled about what was closing in.

Jesus, may I always find my identity and satisfaction in you.
