Jesus is a gracious and merciful High Priest ready to step in on our behalf.
The portrayal of Jesus as both sympathetic and helpful was quite different than the earthly High Priest.
God is both holy and compassionate.
We desperately need Jesus day by day.
“Approach the throne of grace with boldness…” (v.16).
Verses 14-16 are a touching picture of what Jesus does for his own right now.
Lord Jesus, your compassionate grace is staggering. Thank you for the way you still actively intervene on the behalf of weaklings like me.
